tbh a lot of people need to shut up & actually do their research on this stuff before giving a new anime shit. seeing these things said with negative connotation: “this looks like K-ON!” or “it will be just like K-ON!” is getting really old & is honestly just fucking annoying to see at this point.
yes, this is Kyoto Animation, yes, they produced both series but for god sake, don’t get your fucking panties in a twist because “it LOOKS like more moe garbage from Kyoani.” the only similar things about Hibike & K-ON! is that they are music based anime & they happen to have the same animation producers.
man I’m just sick of seeing people giving Kyoani shit because they have a style to their work. if it bothers you so much don’t watch their anime, I really don’t see what the issue is.
pushing that note aside, this is my kind of anime. high school band, sexy as fuck shiny instruments, music terminology being thrown around everywhere (hopefully)… uff my time has come.

Lol I Loooove Free because of everything (shinyness included), but I just feel as though this anime has a bit too much of it. I mean yeah bass can be shiny when you polish it, but their faces, and their hair look shiny too…
(Oh yeah… now I remember what irritated me… it’s the white dots on their cheeks which look like pimples to meh D: )

I do not see any action, war, drama and love romantic anime without all the super powers and mecha from KyoAni, so I have no idea what you are talking about.
As a former band geek in middle school, and who befriended most of the band geeks in high school, my inner musical nerd is smiling right now. Looking forward to trying it out!
