Kyoto Animation ❤

Right now, I’m on a KyoAni marathon, re-watching my favorite shows!
The feeling sure is different.. I keep tearing up even when the anime is supposed to be funny.

K-On was one of the first animes I’ve ever watched that got me into anime and although I don’t really watch sports anime, I’m a dedicated Free! fan and Tsurune was a good watch as well. And let’s not forget Violet Evergarden.. I remember joking around with my friends that it’s actually oniongarden cuz you keep crying throughout the series. Plus many other works of course.

Rest In Peace to the legends who lost their lives in the arson attack and sending my deepest condolence to the families who lost their beloved ones.

And just as you fill the empty voids in my life, your animes often create them, nothing can compare to an anime to that of Kyoto animation. You have inspired me so much and are one of the things that keep me going every day. One day I hope to become an animator too and work with you, I would devote my life to working with you because I want to make people smile too, and I want to give back to what I have been given all these years. One of the few things i love about Kyoto animation is its unexplainable vibrance in their animations.

Its easy to tell that the frames had so much love and life put into it by its animators.

Nothing and I mean nothing can replace those who were lost from the arson attack but what can be done is us continuing to support KyoAni, KyoAni was by far one of the most amazing anime studios out there and their artwork was absolutely amazing and captivating while other works were goofy and made us all smile and laugh. With only about 160 members in their studio put out some of the most amazing works, KyoAni thank you for every bit of joy and love you have given us through your anime and we will always continue to support you and we can only hope that your studio will make a comeback stronger than ever. #PrayForKyoAni

Just think about it, those 34 employes dead… How horrible. Not only that, but the work that they’ve spent so much time also vanished along with them. Their legacy, their passion, and most importantly, their lives was lost to the flames caused by that horrid man. P.S., whoever disliked this is an asshole

I’m not crying you’re crying 😢 but in all seriousness, thank you to all the members of Kyoto Animation for providing us with countless hours of entertainment. If there was any studio that this should have occurred in, it would have been any of them besides your’s. You tried to be different from all the other minimum wage studios, you gave employees many benefits that other studios would never in a millions years give out. But in the end, one man who “had his idea stolen” ruined everything. He ruined your studio, he ruined lives, and he ruined countless families, but he will get the punishment he deserves (hopefully the death penalty). Rest In Peace to all victims, and to the many families, I speak for us all when I say we are sorry for your losses

Do what you want to do but in that work touch the people’s heart and not just theirs first touch your own heart. I was shocked to hear/read about this horrible attack on an anime studio. I don’t follow anime by studios, but I have seen two of their works, both of which were fantastic. I saw a screening of “A Silent Voice”, and recently saw the screening of “Sound: Euphonium. Our Promise: A Brand New Day”. Great films, both in animation & storytelling. May the spirits of those killed rest in peace. Love from the United States.

Despite the heartbreak of everything that has happened, people are still reaching out and sharing their support and common love with KyoAni. It is both heartening and hopeful for the future. Thanks KyoAni for all that they have created and here’s to better days to come.

Trying to Break free

Dear KyoAni,
You saved me. Literally.
There was a time in my life, specifically 2017 to mid 2018, when I was depressed beyond anything. I was visiting my therapist and was on medication. You saved me with Violet Evergarden at that time. Whenever I have thought to end my suffering, I told myself, I’ll do it after I’ve seen the next episode of Violet Evergarden. The next turned to the next and the next. By the time the series ended, things were better for me, but not optimal and you saved me yet again. I got hooked to Kyoukai no kanata. Then Free!. Then Clannad. By the time I received my masters degree in August 2018, I have seen some of your ground breaking works and was an absolute fan of them.
Cut to 2019, early July. I have less time to watch your work as I have a job. I teach people and try to make their lives easier. I support my parents a little bit financially. And everything was going good. Until I got the news of the disaster.
I remember feeling suffocated and calling my friend who is also an anime fan and just muttering “He burned KyoAni” over and over.
I don’t know, if the animes that saved me were made by the fallen 33 members. If it was, thank you for saving me . I’m sorry there was no one to save you, but please rest in peace and know, there is justice in this world. KyoAni, in your time of need, please know that you’re not alone. We’re here to help you. Of course we will help. Of course I will help. You saved me once. It’s time to return the favor, even if it’s just a little bit of your massive requirements. KyoAni, this is not the end. You will rise, like a phoenix with your strong legacy and the memory of the fallen 33, never forgotten.
My sincere condolences to the families of the 33 fallen members. Please know your loved ones made miracles, created universes and saved lives with one stroke of a pen, like no one else could ever have done. They were Heros.

Sincerely,
Your Fan

It’s 2019, and years have passed ever since I became an anime lover and fan…Anime has become an amazing discovery for me, and many of them have been given by 34 great talented artists…

At first, I didn’t like Anime. But after getting introduced to these extraordinary…creations….I instantly fell in LOVE…

“Violet Evergarden”, “Tamako Love Story”, “Silent Voice”, “Clannad”(the first Anime that made me cry) ….too many to say and they have let me experience happiness, sadness, laughter, getting angry even, and love…

Kyoto Animation deserves more respect and love…and I hope the best for those 34 lives and their families…those 34 may not fight on battlefields but they have become Heroes to many anime fans for giving such wonderful arts and stories to people who may be suffering inside…
God Bless Kyoto Animation…🙏

if i can only ask 1 thing, it’s not to not dislike or hate me, but to show a bit respect by at least NOT disliking this video…. or support them through their gofundme

When i read about it, it shocked me as well as breaking my heart. My little sister heard of it and was not pleased at all. My older sister din’t know of the attack until i told her about it. She was really sad and i dont blame her as i dont blame any of you for it. Whoever did it will face the concept of those crimes and never again blow up another studio filled with innocent animators, artiest, and people again. May the wind watch over those who passed and protect those who made it. I give my love and respect to the studio and the people of it. Thank you and bless your rested souls.

Moral of the story:

Whether you despise anything so much like a film, TV show, comic series, cartoon, short, theatre play, musical or anything else for entertainment, make sure you consider the hard work so many people did to bring joy and love upon do many others. Separate your opinion from the people who work on it and be very rational.

R.I.P. to all the innocent people who lost their lives or were affected by this absolute horrific tragedy.
Let’s never forget Kyoto Animation and share it with as many generations as we can.

If the purpose of memorials are to remind people of them, I think building one isn’t that important. Cause, each of their works themselves are memorials of them. Just as we are mourning some people’s death we never met, but have been touched by their works.
