I REALLY enjoyed Season 1 and all but is anyone else annoyed with the fact that a lot of the female characters look like they’re blushing ALL THE TIME.
They’re in an permanent state of blushing. It annoys me a bit.

Yeah, I do agree. Because he had basically no scenes, so what exactly makes you hate him? I don’t get it. That’s why it’s only for Kumiko x Reina, which I ship as well but I still don’t understand.

I think most of his haters are because he is a threat for Kumiko x Reina.
Also, some of his fans are a reason why people hate him too. Because some of them are very persistant to force the Kumiko x Shuichi pair and try to say Kumiko and Reina are just friends and straight. These are the minority, but they are pretty annoying and don’t realise that they make some fans dislike Shuichi because of them
I agree about that. I don’t know about the manga, and I know Kyoani is popular for the yuri bait, but do we all realize that in the ending there is the the red string of fate? It’s bullshit if Reina and Kumiko don’t end up together. I mean I think there is a limit to where you can push to attact people or to play on their feelings. Plus Kumiko doesn’t look interested in Shuichi at all, and Hazuki deserves him better (I know the majority of the fandom hates him but I have nothing against him. I want him out of my otp of course but haiting him? He hasn’t done anything and Hazuki is too sweet to end up broken hearted)

Yeah honestly, besides the fact that I’m a bit biased for Kumiko x Reina, I believe Shuuichi is better for Hazuki. Because Kumiko has showed zero romantic interest in him all during Season 1.
So I don’t know why some people still want to ship them together, when there is also an option for Shuichi so he doesn’t stay “alone” in the end.

I just read somewhere that KyoAni doesn’t change the genre and love interests even if they changed a lot of the other features. I’m sorry for telling you this.
None of it would matter if the 2nd season keeps adding these kinds of statements every now and then 🙂 well, I will always have Sakura Trick to pick up all the little pieces of my heart after Hibike breaks it ^_^

Yeah that was a bummer. But we can say that she admires him because he is very good musician, and her love is more like a celebrity crush rather than actual in love.
I mean, even when she was saying it, Kumiko made her blush and more embarassed when she said she thinks Reina is cute
I keep forgetting that KyoAni doesn’t do things like other studios do 🙂 still that dialog about Reina loving a teacher hurts XD

KyoAni generally doesn’t do canon confirmations and kisses, be it yuri, yaoi or straight.
So far it seems they won’t take the same direction as the LN with Kumiko x Shuichi ending, but at the same time there is no way Kumiko x Reina will get official imo.
So we should just enjoy their moments in the anime and not complain on the fact that they won’t get a kiss or anything extremely obvious. I mean they already confessed their love, and got some fanservisey dialogues on top of that too.
So this is more than enough and I don’t think we are in a position to push our luck even further.
